Volunteering at Runways End Scout Camp, Alderhot 31/07/2010

On Saturday 31 July 2010, Camberley Rotaract and several Epsom Rotaractors were invited back to the Scout Camp at Runways End for some volunteering work. The area is shortly awaiting major renovation and there were several tasks required to be carried out by the District 1140 Rotaractors.

 

Firstly the Rotaractors moved bikes from one garage to another. They then progressed on to a tougher task  - collecting wood (logs and tree trunks) from around the site. Using sheer brute force (and some wheelbarrows) the team set to work.

At the beginning of the day, they had a large empty fenced off area. At lunch time the area was half full with wood. By the end of the day the area was full! All involved worked incredibly hard and achieved their task with aplomb!
