Rotaract District Conference for Districts 1120 and 1130 - 09/05/2015

A guest post from our incoming International Officer, Jasmyn, on the recent Rotaract District Conference for Districts 1120 and 1130

On Saturday, 9th of May, Over 80 Rotaractors, Interactors and Rotarians from London and the surrounding area attended the Rotaract District Conference for Districts 1120 and 1130.

Attendees of the conference enjoyed two excellent speakers, Ian Lawson (Director of Leadership Works Ltd) who gave advice on how to motivate and manage your team towards success, and Mike Daligan (Author, Speaker and Award Winning former Charity Director) who talked about his life; he has been fostered, signed into the army at 15, married and raised two children, pursued a career as an architect, been divorced, a single parent, student, community activist, barman, cleaner, pizza chef, odd job man and unemployed before he joined the voluntary sector on a job creation scheme.

In addition to the fabulous conference sessions, there was a range of workshops for Rotaractors. The Board Elect Training Seminars were very informative, and we built up the spirit of Rotaract in team building exercises.
