Epsom Rotary Club President's Great Gatsby Charity Ball - 07/09/2013

This year’s Epsom Rotary Club President's Charity Ball had a Great Gatsby theme and it didn’t disappoint, we had a fantastic evening!

We arrived at the spectacular setting of the Royal Automobile Club and were welcomed with a champagne reception and the chance to be photographed beside a vintage car. We also had our photo shoot on the lawn courtesy of Anthony.

We then headed inside for dinner (mushroom soup, long island chicken and a raspberry parfait) which was all delicious. Then it was time for the golden ticket raffle. The club had a very lucky evening; winning prizes including a champagne breakfast, a day at Epsom Races, wine, cupcakes, a radio, a fountain pen and most exciting an umbrella! Next was the auction, where Anthony and Ellie successfully bid for an Epsom Coaches trip. Then it was time to learn how to Charleston. David, Caro, Katie and Felicia had fun learning the moves of this well known  1920s dance and Katie was awarded best female dancer for her efforts. The club finished the night showing off our newly acquired moves on the dance floor to The Prime Time Orchestra.
And it was all in the name of two great causes - The Butterfly Appeal and Dyscover!
