Former Epsom Rotaract President Anthony Miles recently celebrated his birthday. A surprise birthday party was arranged at American-style diner Frankie and Benny's in Dorking. Members and friends of the club enjoyed a fun and relaxed evening. It was a fitting tribute to Anthony, who has contributed a lot to Rotaract over the years.
Anthony's girlfriend Ellie arranged a cake at Frankie & Benny's complete with birthday music. Cliff Richard's song 'Congratulations' began playing Corny Cliff joke merchandise (i.e. cheesy calendars) had already been a Rotaract mainstay for 2 consecutive Christmases. And now, the ghost of Chritsmas past returned over the PA! Several times over the course of the evening for different tables!

Charles had pushed the table out to go to the loo. Andy proceeded to do his impression of a lonely person. |
After the meal ended some people stayed on and ventured out into a couple of local pubs. A mini 'pub crawl' (consisting of 2 pubs) broke out until closing time. This crawl proved popular, prompting suggestions of further crawls in the future. A great night was had by all!
