In early February, club members, Rotarians, friends and colleagues attended the BSL (British Sign Language) course.
Organised as a result of overwhelming member support for a course of this nature during survey of 2011. Extensive research revealed this as the best course for a sensible amount and within reach of all members.
The course was fun and informal with a really likeable and helpful tutor in Marcel. A very nice building as well. The participants in the course went away with handouts and notes to refer back to. It was a great way to learn about signing and how to treat deaf people with dignity and respect. Big thanks to Rob for organising this course.
