Conservation Project at Riding for the Disabled Assocation (RDA) Saturday, 22/08/2010

Recently, Rotaractors, Rotarians and friends, converged at the RDA for their latest project. After their sterling efforts clearing the area around the St Ebbas garden earlier this year, the nearby RDA was next in their sights. So naturally, they sprang into action. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the Epsom Community Projects Group!

The boundary area of the site had become very overgrown. The goal of the assembled group was to continue clearing the site (this was their second visit), so that it can become more presentable for visitors of the RDA. The RDA enables people with disabilities to ride or carriage drive to benefit their health and wellbeing and to achieve their goals. Hopefully, with a clearer area, that ride can now be all the more pleasurable.

All manner of methods and gadgets were used on the day, ranging from saws, tractors and the participants bare hands. Overall, the area was substantially cleared and the elite gathering had once again delivered. The (E?) team then fired up a barbeque for lunch afterwards. I love it when a plan comes together.
