The Stephen Woods Centre Day 2 15/01/2011 10am -4pm

The Epsom Community Projects group kicked off 2011, with more redecorating at the Stephen Woods Centre. Rotarians and friends focused on the kitchen, finishing off the walls. The games room walls were repainted by Rotaractors, along with the ladies' toilets. Gone were the gaudy pink, orange and green colours of the past. They were replaced with a smart white undercoat, which will lead to a smarter overall design in the future.

Meanwhile, there were the mandatory pit stops for tea and biscuits and (of course) lunch. The group proceeded to cheerfully share around the tea, biscuits and snacks and chat amiably.

In the afternoon, more intricate work was done on the door of the games room and the door leading to the kitchen. The frame around the window and work on the rest of the door was completed very nicely by Wendy and Lucy of Epsom Rotaract.

Overall, there was an great atmosphere throughout the day and a real sense of achievement.

The next date for the continuation of the project is Saturday 5th February.
