Pitsop Decorating Project 08/10/2011 Day one

The Epsom Community Project Group (Epsom Rotaract, Ewell Rotary, Epsom Rotary and other volunteers) moved on to their next project, this time in Leatherhead for Pitstop. Pitstop is A day-time drop-in centre for the homeless, unemployed & socially isolated and further details can be accessed from their web site as below:

The aim of the project is to repaint rooms in the facility that have seen better days (similar to what was done for the Stephen Woods Centre).
Here's more on the project from Epsom Rotary's Tony Axelrod:

Before the event began: Most of the materials needed for the project have now been acquired, with a major contribution from Wicks who have donated all the white emulsion free of charge, organised by Bob Frisby and a big thank you to both Wicks and Bob.  It would be helpful to bring along a few brushes if you have them, just in case they are needed.

After the event had concluded:
We had an excellent day yesterday at Pitstop and many thanks to everyone who came along and worked so hard.  Having got day one under our belt it looks very much like the project will last for approx another 3 work days or so.

Well done to everyone who contributed on the day!!
