We had a fantastic evening celebrating the 2014-15 Rotary/Rotaract year at the Epsom Rotary and Epsom Rotaract Clubs Presidents' Induction Meal at Cuddington Golf Club.
Epsom Rotaractors Katie, Phil, Lidia, Jasmyn and Helen, Katie's partner Andrew and Epsom Rotary Associates David and Caro headed to Cuddington Golf Club in Banstead for a wonderful evening celebrating Rotary in Epsom.
Upon arrival it was drinks and socialising in the bar before we sat down for the formal dinner. The dinner was delicious - smoked salmon and prawns for starter, roast lamb for main and a lemon tart for pudding.
After dinner it was time for speeches and the inductions. Harry Corben was master of ceremonies. The club thanked immediate past president Clive Smitheram for his year, Andy Ballard was inducted as Epsom Rotary Club President for 2015-16 and his officers this year were also inducted.
Then it was time for our President Katie Barke to be inducted as Epsom Rotary Club President for 2015-16. She was presented with the president's chain by Andy and then gave a short speech. She informed everyone her president's charity will be the Alzheimer's Society.
What a wonderful evening! Here's to a fantastic 2015-16 for Rotary and Rotaract in Epsom!
