It was the return once again of a great tradition! Slindon 2014! With new challenges ahead!
It is a fun weekend away, which entails doing conservation work for the National Trust over two days and in return we get free accommodation at the National Trust's base camp at Slindon! The weekend is primarily to help the National Trust (NT) team with an assortment of conservation work from clearing paths, to planting new trees and removing stiles. The evenings are then spent with all of us enjoying the base camp, cooking our own meals, having some drinks, playing games, etc...
Each year has a new challenge and a new task. This year, we were planting seeds that will in a year's time hopefully be young trees and will need transplanting.
It was a rewarding and exhausting weekend and Epsom Rotaract is looking forward to returning in March 2015! Hopefully with some new trees on the site!
