Christmas Meal - 06/12/2014

We returned yet again to The Rising Sun in Epsom for our Christmas Meal (a tad earlier than usual as our President Phil is heading to Australia for Christmas) and it did not disappoint, we had a brilliant evening.

HO! HO! HO! Once again, we, along with Santa Claus, have been helping the Rotary Club of Epsom with their Christmas Collections around Epsom! £2,695.31 was collected which will go towards Rotary and local charities!

Christmas Meal – 14/12/2013

We were back at The Rising Sun in Epsom again for our Christmas meal and we had another fantastic evening – full of singing, presents, food, drink and general merriment! 

The Epsom Rotaract Christmas Meal 08/12/2012

Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas! The Rising Sun in Epsom was once again the site of our annual Christmas meal. A full house was present for a 3 course meal, complete with Christmas music, party poppers, crackers, Secret Santa and just general mucking about with poppers and string.

Present wrapping for Samaritans Purse 10/11/2012

It was time once again for our annual present wrap/pub lunch! The idea is that we fill decorated shoe boxes with appropriate gifts to be sent as a Christmas present to disadvantaged children around the world. The boxes are filled with toys, games, suitable useful items for either boys or girls within a specific age bracket.

The shoe box scheme is organised by www.samaritanspurse.org  and is known as Operation Christmas Child.

The Epsom Rotaract Christmas Meal 16/12/2011

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas! Christmas music could be heard across the airwaves and the room was festively adorned with tinsel and baubles. Yes, it was of course, time for Epsom Rotaract's annual Christmas meal at The Rising Sun in Epsom.

Operation Christmas Child - Shoe Box Filling & Pub Lunch 12/11/2011

Operation Christmas Child is cause spearheaded by Samaritan's Purse (http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/). The basic premise is simple - buy presents for the children and place them in empty shoeboxes. The boxes then get wrapped up and sent to wrapped them in the Rising Sun pubs function room. As a thank you afterwards we then had a lunch at the pub. Well done to everyone who took part!

The Epsom Rotaract Christmas Meal 2010 11/12/2010

Ho! Ho! Ho! Epsom Rotaractors, Rotarians and friends attended the 2010 Christmas Meal. This year it was held at the function room of the Rising Sun pub in Epsom. There was Christmas music, lights, holly, tinsel crackers all laid on by the pub! And a tasty Christmas meal as well of course.

Epsom Rotary Christmas Collections 28/11/2010.

The annual Epsom Rotary Christmas collections for 2010 began at the Wells Estate in Epsom. As is customary, Tilly the train, Epsom Rotarians, Santa (aka Rotarian John Goddard) and Christmas hat wearing Rotaractors were all present. As usual, they collected for Rotary many associated charities. A big thank you to everyone who participated!

Carols at the Running Horses Pub Leatherhead Thursday 10/12/2009

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas! Recently, member's of the club attended the Running Horses Pub in Leatherhead, for a spot of carol singing. To get them into the true, wholesome spirit of Christmas, there were: candles, a gentleman playing a violin, a roaring fire and a fine selection of real ales. Special thanks to Holly our (teetotal) club Secretary/rambler, for giving us the inside track on the ales. Rambling must be thirsty work.

The Epsom Rotaract Christmas Meal 05/12/2009

On Saturday 5th December 2009, members and friends of the club gathered for the annual Christmas meal. It took place at the Cock Inn, Headley. In addition to the customary sumptuous food, this year's meal had a twist. Club members were given the option of choosing a 'heaven' (good) or 'hell' (not so good), secret Santa present. The undoubted winner of the 'hell' category was John's Cliff Richard 2010 calendar for Rob.
